Children and Youth Music, Theatre and Design

Looking at the lack of cultural education in the schools given to the youth we are doing a programme called "Education through Theatre and Music".

This program started in 2005 with "Education through Music", where composer, singer and musician "Ntessa" wrote songs to be taught children and youth. It is done at local schools where approximated 500 pupils participate in music classes with messages on health, Math, rights and more.

Besides this "Ntessa" created the childrens' choir of Tambo Tambulani Tambo to give special attention to the children with interest in music.

In August 2008 the Children Choir recorded a CD with 8 songs. The recording was supported by Merkur Foundation.

From 2006 the youth program also involved theatre classes for youth. This program is done by the actor "Nhundhu". Approximated 15 youth participate in creating theatre in different styles.

From 2008 Vitor Raposo is educated children in drawing and making art from things found in the nature. The group of children are about 20 children.

The objective of these activities is to give children and youth:

Pleasure in doing art
Cultivate their creativity
The courage to express themselves in public
